504 Plans
The Davenport Community School District is committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed. Our District provides equal educational and employment opportunities and will not illegally discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, sex, disability, religion, age, ancestry, or actual or potential parental, familial, or marital status. Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 prohibits discrimination against students on the basis of their disability. The 504 Plan is designed to provide students with disabilities the necessary accommodations to access the same educational opportunities as their peers. This plan is developed to meet individual needs and may include modifications in the classroom, support services, and other adjustments. For more information on how to apply and what accommodations might be available, please contact your students’ building 504 Coordinator.
